Kay McChain hails from Atlanta, GA, and is now a resident of Wyntree in Heathrow. She is married to her husband Bob and has one daughter and one granddaughter. Kay enjoys reading, traveling, playing canasta, and having lunch out! She heard about the club from her daughter and joined to meet people and contribute to the community.

Betsy Bayram was a member in the early 2000’s and was once the editor of our newsletter, The Newz! She has lived in the local area for over 20 years. Her pride and joy are her son, Marc who is a Class A Golf Professional, and her two grandsons. Betsy is a dog mom to her dachshund, Shaina, and enjoys classic cars and music. She has been a realtor since 1984 and also an entertainment manager for Rat Pack-themed tribute shows. She joined the club to meet new friends and to support the worthy causes of the club.

Bonnie Epstein is originally from Miami Beach and has been a resident of Cherry Ridge in Heathrow for 7 years. Bonnie is a widow and has been in a relationship with her partner Michael for over a decade. She has two married adult daughters and two grandsons that all live in the area. Retired in 2007, Bonnie worked as a bookkeeper and buyer for a small chain of drugstores. She enjoys traveling, exercising, and biking. She joined the club to develop friendships and to give back to the community.

Lynn Cherwa hails from Illinois and Virginia and has lived in Cherry Ridge for over 20 years with her husband John and their 14-year-old lively dog, Griff. Lynn is a newly retired public school teacher and taught for 36 years. She enjoys reading, walking, theater, and golf. Lynn learned of our club through local publications. She has been looking for volunteer opportunities and loves the causes we serve!

Brigitte Barnett is originally from Virginia and has lived in Heathrow for over 20 years. She has a master’s degree in clinical psychology and is widowed with 3 children. In her spare time, Brigitte enjoys reading and traveling. She is the daughter of long-time member Apollonia Teske and joined the club to get more involved in the community.

Lyn Frank is from Seoul, Korea, and moved to Heron Ridge in Heathrow last year. She has been married to her husband Barry for 18 years and they have a dog-child named Lil Bear. Lyn is self-employed in personal real estate and in her spare time, she enjoys gardening, learning new things, reading, trying new restaurants and traveling. Lyn joined the club to participate in the community and meet new friends and was brought into HWC by member Lynn Beckman.

Patty Bogle actually joined the club in 2020, but once Covid hit, we no longer held our in-person luncheons, so we are welcoming her now. Patty hails from Texas and then Nashville and now lives in the Keenwicke section of Heathrow. Patty is married with 2 married adult daughters and 1 granddaughter. She is a part-time bookkeeper and loves games, reading, yoga, and dancing. She learned of the club through Stroll Magazine and joined to make friends and be part of an active community.

Rosalia was born in California and lived in the U.K. for 23 years before moving to Heathrow Woods in July 2022. She is married and has a 28-year-old stepdaughter, a 5-year-old granddaughter in the U.K., and a 17-year-old son who attends Lake Mary High. Rosalia is an engineer and she and her husband own a construction company in the U.K. and a property management business. In her spare time, Rosalia enjoys running, swimming, reading, meditation, rollerblading, bike riding, yoga, Pilates and more! She joined HWC to fulfill her need to do some charitable work with meaning and results and looks forward to meeting like-minded people.

Julia moved to Sanford from Miami just last October. She has also resided in Brooklyn, Chicago, Montreal, and Paris! Julia heard about the club from April Darrow as Julia is now the new owner of Front Running Sports in Lake Mary, a walking and running shoe store that fits customers based on their specific and unique needs. Julia enjoys strength training and CrossFit daily and uses cooking as a form of meditation. She is also a life and leadership coach as she believes growth and development are important values. Julia joined HWC to meet new people, make new friends, and support the community. Welcome Julia!

Sue is originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin and moved to Orlando 20 years ago. She has been a resident of Tuskawilla for the last 5 years. Married to her husband Steve for 38 years, they have a daughter Monica, who is a nurse at AdventHealth. Sue is retired from AAA and worked in marketing and communications for 15 years. Sue enjoys birds/wildlife, photography, biking, yoga, and pilates. Sue heard of HWC from Darlene Entringer and looks forward to making new friends and making a difference in the community.

Lisa was born in Florida, raised in New York, and moved back to Florida in 1981. She is a widow with four children – two boys and two girls and six grandsons ( 2 sets of twins) and a Golden Australian Shepard named Sandi. Lisa owns a bookkeeping company and currently works for the Jewish Pavillion. In addition, she owns a publishing company created to publish her first children’s book. In her spare time, Lisa enjoys sunbathing, gardening, reading, and cooking and is excited to meet new people and give back to the community.

Polita (Polly) has lived in Tuscany in Lake Mary for 19 years. She’s been married to her husband David for 25 years and has two sons and a Berne-doodle dog. She is an engineer and loves helping people live a healthy lifestyle with fitness, strength training and incorporating good nutritional habits. She is a certified personal trainer and teaches group fitness at the Esporta LA Fitness facility. Polita is also the CEO and founder of OneStrong Foundation.com that provides scholarships for students and helps the community with fitness training and creating a stronger mind, body, and spirit.

Julie has lived in Seminole County for over 30 years and currently lives in Sanford. She was born in Bristol, TN and has also lived in Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Minnesota. Julie is married and has a son, Cameron. Her daughter Chloe sadly passed away in 2012 at the age of 18. Julie loves working part-time at Walk on Lake Mary and in her spare time, she enjoys crocheting, knitting, gardening, baking, beading, playing games and golf. She joined HWC to meet new women and help withing the community.
