MISSION STATEMENT

It is the mission of the Heathrow Women’s Club to contribute to the health and welfare of women and children in Seminole County, financially and with the time and talent of our members.

We encourage “Socializing with a Purpose” to promote friendship, harmony and goodwill amongst our members and within our community. These interactions will further the kind of relationships that will allow us to fulfill our mission.

The Heathrow Women's Club, HWC, was founded on August 17, 1987, by a few neighborhood women who gathered as friends. More than a quarter of a century later, this small group has developed into a socially active assembly and a 501 (c)(3) charitable organization of over 150 members.  Social activities such as Book Clubs, Bridge, Bunco, Canasta, and Mah Jongg are just a sample of what is available, see the list here, or view the calendar.

Evening activities for singles and couples include Wine-Tastings, Happy Hour Socials, Dine-a-Rounds and more.  General Luncheon meetings with programs are held at the Heathrow Country Club on the second Tuesday of each month September through May.  The Club is open to all women in Central Florida!

For more than a quarter century, HWC has demonstrated a remarkable ability to bond together to raise more than one million dollars in donations and services for deserving organizations in Seminole County. Not only do the members share a strong camaraderie, but they truly make a difference in the lives of those in need.

Residency in Heathrow or Country Club membership is not required to join the Heathrow Women's Club.

COLLECT FOR CLUB WOMEN

Keep  us, O God, from pettiness; let us be large in thought, in word, in deed.

Let us be done with fault-finding, and leave off self-seeking.
May we put away all pretense, and meet each other face to face - without self pity and without prejudice.

May we never be hasty in judgment and always generous.
Let us take time for all things; make us grow calm, serene, gentle

Teach us to put into action our better impulses straightforward and unafraid.

Grant that we may realize it is the little things that create differences, that in the big things of life, we are as one.

And may we strive to touch and to know the great common human hearts of us all, and O, Lord God, let us not forget to be kind.
