Charitable Endeavors - Nov. 2026

Thank you ladies for your ongoing commitment to generosity! We were a proud sponsor of Paws for a Cause supporting SafeHouse of Seminole on October 17th. A special shoutout to the volunteers who joined in helping to man our table after I set it up: Barbara Thornton, Karen Boebinger, Suzanne Byfield and Louise Calise.  Thanks to these ladies, we helped spread the word of our great works and may even welcome new members thanks to this exposure.

We held our first Charitable Endeavors meeting on October 27.  We will be sending out grant applications in the coming month and if you have a suggested charity worthy of our support while meeting our eligibility requirements, please feel free to let us know by our November HWC meeting.

Please remember your individual actions have a great impact…we collect food items and toiletry items for our Seminole County homeless students each month at our luncheons.  Please keep your eyes out for BOGOs or other opportunities to support our children in our community.  Some suggestions (never in glass jars): Instant oatmeal, peanut butter, jelly, canned fruits and vegetables, soups, tuna, deodorant, maxi pads, tampons, shampoo, soap, toothbrush and toothpaste.

Secret Santa is under way! Thank you to those of you who chose a child and/or angel to buy for at our last luncheon.  Please know this year we are focusing on immediate needs and would appreciate basic toiletry items, children’s clothes, wireless EarPods, Barbie dolls, jewelry making kits, books, etc. Feel free to return your unwrapped gifts to our next luncheon or let me know if you would like me to pick up from you.

Thank you for your ongoing generosity,

Tina Calderone, Charitable Endeavors Chair
